She is also the Director of the MusicEveryday! Homeschool Choir. Shar grew up in Holland, where she began singing publicly at age three, and started piano lessons at seven. She enjoyed wonderful years of music education and touring experiences, receiving years of private lessons in voice, piano, and organ with great teachers, including Hope & Calvin College faculty. She brings great classical training to the studio, but uses many types of music genre with her students.
Shar recorded two cds, writing and playing her own arrangements of sacred music, from her church
traditions and more contemporary worship as well as her own original works.
Shar is married to Ed Boerema, and they have five grown children, one son-in-law (a public safety officer in Grand Haven), and 2 grandchildren. She loves writing and has recently published a book about life with their oldest son, entitled "Silent Aspirations, A Nonverbal Son, His Art, His Mother’s Faith and Family’s Bond".

Holland Kerker is a recording artist and performer. She began training at age 9, and completed her Masters in Operatic Studies at SUNY Purchase, NY. After school she began performing as an opera singer, but soon discovered a new passion for songwriting and modern singing. She’s recorded 4 studio albums, and sung across the US and Europe as singer-songwriter, and as the front woman for the band “Nightjacket.” She specializes in Pop, Rock, Musical Theater and other modern genres.
Equal to her passion for performing is her love of teaching. Holland is dedicated to helping vocalists achieve success through the power of healthy singing. She uses a unique combination- classical technique mixed with modern vocal styling- to produce singers who can belt with power, access their full range (low to high), and be successful in live performance.

Jennifer Verwey started at MusicEveryday! as a vocal student in January 2017 and after experiencing the welcoming environment and caring attention of the teachers, offered to volunteer with fundraisers which would benefit all of the students. Soon, it was clear that she was a good fit for a bigger need, helping Director/Teacher Val Letenyei with the administrative tasks which were growing as the studio went from 25 - 175 students! Jennifer greets our afternoon and evening students with a warm and welcoming smile and helps keep the teachers on schedule during our busy after-school hours. Jennifer also helps with schedule changes and special event preparation along with many other administrative duties. All of the teachers and especially Val appreciate her dedication and the fun-loving spirit she brings to the studio each day!
