Our Beginnings
Music brings joy and inspiration and should be a part of Everyday!
Val Letenyei founded MusicEveryday! in 2008 while teaching private lessons both from her home and at Music4Life in North Liberty, Iowa. After moving back to her home state of Michigan in 2014 and sending her two girls off to college, Val had an opportunity to go from part-time teaching to full-time teaching and studio owner.

​MusicEveryday! began in a small 3 room office suite owned by Lou Draeger in Spring Lake. With 2 other teachers joining the team, more students enrolled and within a year, we moved up the road to our next location, now home to Bilz Pools and City2Shore Gateway Group, where we continued to grow until we had to make another move to our current home located at 17750 N. Fruitport Road in the building owned by Tim Boelema and known as Petty's Place.

We now have 15 teachers and 300 students attending private lessons in Piano, Voice, Guitar, Ukulele, Violin/Viola/Cello, Wind/Brass, Percussion and Group Classes - Kindermusik, Young Singers Choir, Positive Vibes! We hope to see our Group Classes grow as the interest is there for Homeschool Band, Homeschool Choir for ages 10 and up, Rock Band 2.0, Improvisation and Theory classes.

Val's early musical training began at the age of 8 with private teachers who required her to practice daily and gave her a strong musical foundation. Throughout High School and College, Val continued to study music and realized as a young wife and mother that her calling was to teach music to others. Under the careful instruction of Nancy Schaaf and Karen Nichols at Dayspring School of the Arts in St. Louis, Missouri, Val learned the value of training students in technique, theory, and music history.

Val is an Elementary Pedagogy Specialist, certified to teach Preparatory through Intermediate piano repertoire.
​
Val enjoys teaching all genre of music including classical, jazz, pop & sacred. Her 22 years of teaching experience began in St. Louis, Missouri, North Liberty, Iowa and now in Spring Lake, Michigan!
At MusicEveryday!, Val and her team of excellent Instructors educate students in a variety of musical techniques and allow students to explore their own musical creations.

We specialize in building musicianship in our students through a strong foundation of technique, music literacy and creativity that combines both visual and auditory skills.
​
Students have the option to perform in 2 recitals per year and participate in the Royal Conservatory of Music.
